In order to achieve this best-in-class efficiency, Lamborghini says the Urus will also be the lightest SUV out there. It will use the carbon fiber technologies developed for the Sesto Elemento, among other weight-saving measures, to keep the weight down and the power output up.
The look of the Urus achieves Lamborghinidom without being a parody, which some of the other luxury SUVs seem to be. It's got the same sharp lines along the body and the same massive intakes up front (how well will those do crossing a stream of snowmelt in Russia, one wonders). Despite its ground clearance, it manages to be aggressive and sporty. It's also got those little cameras on stalks rather than proper exterior mirrors, feeding images of the rear view to the TFT display inside. These have yet to make it from a concept vehicle to reality, but Lamborghini's got the pizzazz to pull it off.
